Invented by Nigel and Meredith Belbin, this enjoyable team exercise demonstrates the typical features of the 9 Belbin Team Roles. It enables team roles to be developed within a learning environment. It also offers experience in distributing work appropriately to members of a team with the aim of producing the best results for the team as a whole. The team must try to collect all nine team role awards within a certain time limit. It is designed for training managers and consultants running teambuilding courses. It is recommended for teams who need to gain insights into their own team dynamics and assess how best they can use their varied talents to cope with wide ranging demands.
The game can be played by a team of 4- 9 people. As Contribute is designed to take only an hour plus review time it can easily be built in to a short team building session.
To help with the running of the exercise we also include 9 free on-line Belbin reports (these would normally cost £270). This will enable you to ‘Belbin’ each participant prior to the exercise to maximise the learning.

Co-operate is designed to help teams and individuals work more effectively together. Following the success of our Team Role game, Contribute®, we sensed a need for a further team game. Co-operate is for those who in working together would benefit from better co-operation with each other. We have therefore developed three exercises which underline the importance of co-operation when tackling projects designed for teams.
When people work together in a team they invariably ignore certain individuals, try to exert their dominance or take little interest in the team outcome. Such shortsightedness leads to team failure.
Co-operate can be played with groups of 4-8 people. It uses three action-oriented exercises to illustrate and overcome common team-working problems. They all need good team co-operation.
Team Build calls for self-sacrifice.
Team Rescue calls for good communication.
Team Write calls for team harmonisation.
By working through the exercises, people will experience first hand how to improve team dynamics. This understanding can be transferred back to the workplace. Finally, included in the package is a CD in which Dr Meredith Belbin gives an overview on what can be learnt from the exercises.
Each of the 3 exercises can be used separately:
TEAM BUILD – build a specified design with assorted pieces belonging to different team members.
TEAM RESCUE – defuse a “bomb” that will explode if tilted within a set time frame using limited resources.
TEAM WRITE - manoeuvre a pen using the apparatus supplied to draw a number of objects in a co-ordinated way.
Co-operate should be played by any group of people who work together and need to acquire practical team skills.

Personality Poker is a highly innovative, interactive, straightforward to use, yet thought provoking card game. It can be used in all kinds of organisations, with existing teams as well as those whose members know each other peripherally or not at all.
The process of playing the game stimulates individual and team growth. During the game participants are encouraged to reflect on themselves and others and come to see how others experience the impact of their behaviour and personality style.
At the heart of the game is a set of 230 cards each featuring a different personality objective. The individual words are primarily positive but some people might perceive or interpret certain words as negative due to their own life experience, professional situation or stage of development.
What one person sees as a strength another may see as a weakness. It is the mutual exchange of interpretations and not the scientifically correct definitions that lie at the centre of Personality Poker.
